The South Conway County School District is excited to announce that Morrilton Intermediate School (MIS) has earned a school letter grade of “B” in the 2024 Unofficial Arkansas Simulated School Rating System—a meaningful improvement from the school’s 2023 letter grade of “C.”
This achievement reflects the entire MIS community's focused efforts, dedication, and heart. From the leadership of the school’s administration, to the passion and expertise of the teaching staff, to the daily support provided by classified staff, and most importantly, the hard work of our amazing students, this recognition is the result of a team working together to pursue growth and excellence. The support and involvement of MIS families have also played a critical role in helping students reach this milestone.
“We are so proud of the progress at Morrilton Intermediate School,” said Superintendent Shawn Halbrook. “This ‘B’ rating shows real, measurable growth at MIS. It’s a testament to the belief, commitment, and unity of everyone in that building and the families behind them.”
The new rating reflects more than just a number—it’s a symbol of progress, perseverance, and potential. MIS continues to move forward with a focus on high-quality instruction, student growth, and a commitment to the South Conway County School District’s mission: to maximize the safety, learning, and achievement of every scholar, every day.
Congratulations to the MIS team—your growth is inspiring and your success is well-deserved!
