Got an old cell phone you don't need? Donate it to EAST to help the battered women at The Safe Place! We will get it ready and get it to someone in need. There is a collection box in the office or you can take it to Mrs. Mobley's room
Do you have a problem or need that EAST could help with? Look for the blue box in the library and at the top of the stairs in Mrs. Mobley's room. Please write down any issues around the school and put them in the box for EAST to fix it!
Seniors: it is Senior Slideshow time! Go through those old files and send Mrs. Mobley up to 8 photos you would like to be on your slide for the show. We show the slides at Prom and at Graduation. Make sure you have the rights to the photos and email them to Mrs. Mobley or bring by photos that we can scan to Mrs. Mobley's room.
It's that time to guess how much Christmas candy is in the jar in the library. Check out/renew a book or pay a fine to make your guess!
If you need to check out a calculator for the upcoming ACT, you MUST have a signed permission slip on file in the library. Stop by the library for details.
Deadline to order their cap and gown units and pay later is December 15th @ 5:00 pm. After that date, all orders must be paid in full at the time of order. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Huett.
If you are interested in playing football talk to Coach McNabb this week.
Don't miss MHS Theatre's production of Christmas Carol. Come see both students and some of your favorite teachers bring this classic to life. Students tickets are $3 and Adults are $5. Show will be Thursday, December 12, Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, at 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 15 at 3 pm.
Senior high basketball men and ladies will play at Stuttgart tonight.
The MHS Speech and Debate Team competed and hosted a successful tournament this weekend. Teachers, thank you for judging if you were able to. The following students won awards in their respective categories:
Adrianna Cain won 3rd place in Varsity IPDA Speaking, 1st place Impromptu, 1st place Informative, 1st place Original Oratory, and 1st place Poetry.
Aarya Patel won 1st place in Varsity IPDA, 2nd place Varsity IPDA Speaking, 4th place Declamation, and 2nd place Impromptu.
Wesley Watts made it to semifinals in Novice IPDA debate, 5th place in Novice IPDA Speaking, and 3rd place Declamation.
Savannah Waddle made it to quarter finals in Novice IPDA debate, 3rd place in Novice IPDA Speaking, and 4th place poetry.
Gabby Camarillo won 5th place Impromptu and 3rd place Poetry.
Danajah Penn won 2nd place Poetry and 2nd place Storytelling.
