We are extremely proud of the students, teachers, staff, and leadership at Morrilton Junior High School for earning multiple 2026 Outstanding Educational Performance Awards from the Office for Education Policy at the University of Arkansas!

MJHS was recognized for:
- #6 in Arkansas for Overall Growth
- #5 in the Northwest Region for Overall Growth
- #2 in Arkansas for Science Growth
- #2 in the Northwest Region for Science Growth

These awards are based on student growth on the ATLAS assessments and reflect the tremendous work taking place every day at Morrilton Junior High School.

Download the App 1. Open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device. 2. Search for South Conway County Schools. 3. Look for the official app published by the South Conway County School District. 4. Tap Get or Install. 5. Open the app after it has downloaded. Allow Push Notifications When you open the app for the first time, your phone will ask whether you want to receive notifications. * Tap Allow on an iPhone. * Tap Allow or Turn On Notifications on an Android device. Push notifications must be allowed for you to receive time-sensitive alerts on your phone. Select the Schools You Want to Follow 1. Open the South Conway County Schools app. 2. Tap Settings. 3. Select Push Notifications or Notifications. 4. Choose South Conway County School District to receive districtwide announcements. 5. Today, Morrilton High School students had the opportunity to step into the world of skilled careers with the Be Pro Be Proud mobile workshop!

This hands-on experience brought career and technical education to life through interactive simulations. Students got a chance to experience what it might feel like to operate heavy machinery, weld, and complete other tasks connected to high-demand skilled careers.

A special thank you to the Arkansas National Guard and UACCM for providing volunteers to help staff the truck, guide our students through the simulations, and make today’s experience possible.

Opportunities like this allow our students to explore careers, discover new interests, and get a firsthand look at the skills that can lead to exciting career pathways after high school.

The Devil Dog boys golf team won their match at Galla Creek today vs Little Rock Central, Atkins, and Danville with a team score of 118 with top 3 scorers. Cade Voss won overall medalist honors with a score of 37. Landon Holloway finished 2nd overall with a 40. Senior Harper Price also finished top 5 with a  score of 41. Grant Koch and Samuel Dixon finished with a 44 and 49 respectively. The Devil Dogs will play in the District Tournament Sept. 22nd at Glenwood CC!

Today we celebrate IT Professionals Day and thank Jeremy Woodward, Michael Pote, and Rockie Hammons for keeping SCCSD connected, supported, and moving forward. We appreciate all you do for our students, staff, and schools!
