The Conway County Extension Office presented an informative program on agriculture in Arkansas to Mrs. Williams' class and Mrs. Johnson's Library students. Alicia Hugen & Shannon Autrey brought Arkansas-grown rice, soybeans, and cotton for the students to explore. Students learned that Arkansas is the number one rice producer in the Nation. The class learned specifically about all the agricultural production and opportunities in Conway County. #LoveServeCare❤️

8th graders practiced using imagery to describe what they could see, hear, feel, and smell in different areas around campus before writing their own poems. ✍️#LoveServeCare4others

🧪🔬 Medical Detectives in Action! 🔬🧫 Ms. Ferguson’s Medical Detectives students became scientists today as they conducted an experiment to demonstrate the differences between bacteria, fungus, & viruses. The results from today’s experiment will be analyzed by students next week as they continue to investigate their findings & draw conclusions from the evidence. 🧪🦠 What a great day of hands-on learning, scientific investigation, & discovery in Medical Detectives! 🔍👏

Mrs. Grinder’s 7th grade math students wrapped up their unit on proportional relationships with a BIG challenge! 🦈 Students compared great white shark teeth with discovered megalodon teeth, then used proportions to estimate how long and how heavy a megalodon may have been. After doing the math, they measured out their estimated lengths to see just how massive these prehistoric sharks were. Bringing math to life at MJHS! #LoveServeCare4others

MJHS was recognized for:

These awards are based on student growth on the ATLAS assessments and reflect the tremendous work taking place every day at Morrilton Junior High School.
